The department has competent and committed faculty which encourages students` involvement in various co-curricular activities along with their academics. The department also takes initiative for the conduct of various inter/intra collegiate competitions to improve the skills of the students. Bridge courses conducted by the department provide opportunities for the students to strengthen the pre-requisites required for various courses in the curriculum. Workshops and hand on sessions are conducted on a regular basis, to put on practice, the theoretical concepts learned in the classrooms.
Android Incubation Unit is available in College in order to support students for android application development. To broaden their knowledge in the emerging technologies, the department frequently conducts seminars and invited talks with the support of experienced resource persons from the industry. The department is well equipped with excellent computing facilities, and has highly qualified faculty specialised in areas like Multimedia Communications, Cyber Security, Wireless Networking, Data Mining etc.. Graduates from the department are heavily recruited by both academia and industry, and ex-students of the department occupy top positions in both academia and industry all over the world.
Diploma Program
The annual intake of students for the diploma (CE) course is 60.
