The role of books and literature cannot be belittled, even in the least sense, to ascertain quality education. It is only through a careful study of selective books, one can gain knowledge & understand the concepts, which help to lay a strong foundation for an engineer. The library caters to this requirement by stocking books prescribed by the university syllabus and additional texts by internationally acclaimed authors, for references. The library has also subscribed to a variety of journals & magazines to keep both students and faculty update with the global trends in the field of science & technology. The membership of the library is open to staff and students of the college. Library of MCT is located in the first floor of the west block. Library is associated with a vast reading area.


Instruction to Users
  1. Library is kept open all working days from 9 AM to 5 PM

  2. All are requested to sign the gate register before entering the library.

  3. Members are requested to show their identity card at the entrance before entering the library.

  4. Members are not permitted to take personal belongings inside the library.

  5. Strict Silence shall be observed in the library.

  6. Mobile phone are strictly prohibited in the library.

  7. In each members returned the book before the due date, the defaulters are remitted fine Rs. 1/- after 10 days to pay Rs. 2/- per day including holidays will be levied from the students.

  8. Members are advised to report any defect or damage in the book before it has been give to them, Otherwise it will be presumed that the book was without damage at the time it was issued. If a book/periodical is damaged by a member he/she will have to replace it or pay the cost of the book/periodical.

  9. Writing any kind or marking upon the books in ink or pencil will also be considered as damage done to the book.

  10. The librarian may recall a book at any time even when the normal period of loan is not over.

  11. Current issue of periodicals will not be issued.

The National Digital Library (NDL)

The National Digital Library (NDL) is an all-digital library, an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Department Govt. of India that will integrate all existing digitised and digital contents across Institutions of the nation to provide a single-window access with e-learning facility to different groups of users ranging from primary level to higher education level and even life-long learners of our country. It will provide educational materials in various languages, in all disciplines, in different forms of access devices and will cater to differently-abled learners as well. Currently NDL User Interface supports three languages, namely English, Hindi and Bengali which will later be extended to several other commonly used vernaculars of India.


You can immediately search for an item of your choice by entering the search name on the top window. However, for a better and richer experience on NDL, we recommend you to register free onto the website with your name, address and other details as required in the form. For first time users, please use the login id and password sent to you by the NDL-admin for logging in. Change your password immediately after you log in for the first time and continue to use this password at all times in the future. Note that once you have logged in, your name will show on the top right bar and you will not be shown the landing (home) page any longer.


You can choose to have your password remembered by the system for all future uses by clicking on ‘Remember Me’ in the log-in window. If you have forgotten your password, you can click on the ‘Forgot Password’ button and the system will automatically take you through the Account recovery process. Put in your email id and answer the security question to enable the system to send you a temporary password. Log in with this temporary password and once again change to a permanent one of your choice for all future uses.

The Developing Library Network

DELNET-Developing Library Network is a major resource sharing library network in India connecting more than 1018 libraries in 30 States and UTs in India and six other countries. DELNET was conceived as a city based library network in Delhi in 1988 and was known as Delhi Library Network, networking the libraries of the Delhi region. It was registered as a society in 1992.


As the scope and the coverage of the network increased with the passage of time and available technologies, DELNET also crossed the geographical boundaries within the country and also outside. It was on 13th September 2000 that the name of DELNET got changed from Delnet-Delhi Library Network to DELNET-Developing Library Network. The main objectives of DELNET is to promote resource sharing among the member-libraries by collecting, storing and disseminating information and by providing networked services to the researchers and scholars to supplement their research activity.
