Changing Future...

 Science & Humanities department started with the inception of college in 2003.At present, there are ten faculty members. It is a good mixture of experienced persons and trained youngsters. It inculcates basic knowledge in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English which is the foundation of Engineering education. In our Department the ethos of science and technology prevails, as it is believed that Engineering and Science are, by their very nature, humanistic and socially derived enterprises.


The study of mathematics is to create engineers with strong mathematical background, creative thinking and problem solving skills, through systematic training and research and by discovering feasible solutions to challenging real world problems. The study of Physics uncovers the mysteries of nature through the knowledge of properties of matter. In the physics laboratory adequate equipment and instruments are available for performing all types of experiments involving light and other forms of energy.  The study of Chemistry is crucial in all manufacturing processes where the transformation of one form of material is another is taking place. All industries including pharmaceutical industry employ one chemical reaction or another. Equally important is the study of environmental chemistry and engineering, to save the globe from pollution.


To impart the fundamental knowledge of the students in all facets of Science and Humanities needed to acquire better expertise in all disciplines of Engineering besides, bridging the curricular gap between the school and collegiate education.The Department has been working relentlessly towards fulfilling the basic knowledge of students in the spectrum of Science, Mathematics and English. This aims to develop into leading centres of excellence in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry by providing top quality education and research. The goal of the department is to motivate and inspire the students to have a strong background in science and humanities and to encourage the budding Engineers to develop effective communication skills.

  • To offer academic programmes in the emerging areas of Engineering and Technology provide training and research facilities to promote student and faculty research in collaboration with Industry and Government for sustainable growth.

Program Educational Objectives

To provide the students with

  1. To produce students who can excel in their professional career and  higher education by acquiring knowledge in mathematical computing, and engineering principles.

  2. Participate in life-long learning through the successful completion of advanced degrees, continuing education and certifications..

  3. To produce students who can analyze any real life problems and design structures which are not only safe and economical but also socially acceptable.

  4. To produce students who can exhibit attitude, professionalism, ethics, ability to communicate with team members and adapt to the latest trends by engaging themselves in lifelong learning.

  5. To train students in a manner that they should function effectively in the multicultural and multidisciplinary groups for the sustainable development and growth of civil engineering projects and professions.

  6. Graduates will be prepared with a solid foundation in mathematics, sciences, and technical skills needed to analyze and design civil infrastructure systems.

  7. Graduates will have the necessary qualifications for employment in civil engineering and related professions, for entry into advanced studies, and for assuming eventual leadership roles in their profession.

Program Outcomes

After completion of the course, All Engineering graduates will have an ability to:

  1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering;

Integrated Circuit Lab

Laying a strong foundation for electronic engineers, this lab makes the students understand the fundamentals of Digital Electronics. The Integrated Circuits Lab is where our students gain practical experience in the use of basic hardware components. Through experiments, students become familiar with gates, multiplexers, decoders, flip-flops, counters, registers and displays.

This lab is intended to explore the properties of analog circuits, including frequency response, gain, and aspects of analog circuit realization. The lab is also equipped with CROs, power supplies, measuring meters and linear ICs to study the operation principles of operational Amplifiers and other linear ICs. All analog and digital IC related experiments can be carried out. The testers for IC are available.

Highly sophisticated lab is made available for students and faculty to carryout academic and research works. This lab is also a platform for students and faculty to develop their software skills. Laboratory is very well equipped with soft computing tools: Micro SIM Software, MATLAB etc.
